Emergency Lighting
Emergency lighting that guides people along the escape routes to a point of safety, correctly designed, installed and maintained.
Emergency lighting is an essential part of a building's fire escape plan and fire safety management.
There are an average of 160 prosecutions a year for non-compliant emergency lighting, with fines of up to £400,000. As buildings grow more complex in their design and use, correct design and maintenance is essential.
Emergency lighting comes on when the power fails and lights the primary escape routes to a point of safety. It also picks out risks such as changes of level, and shows where fire safety signage and fire-fighting equipment are located.
